WOMEN’S ROLE AND THEIR POSITION IN THE INSTITUTIONS ON LOCAL AND NATIONAL LEVEL
WITH REGARDS TO PREVENTING AND COUNTERING VIOLENT EXTREMISM
The analysis is a result of a research undertaken within the first year of the Operational Grant “Program for Building Community Resilience against Violent Extremism and Radicalisation that Leads to Terrorism (VERLT) at the Nexus of Security and Development in the Republic of North Macedonia” implemented by NEXUS – Civil Concept, and financially supported by the European Commission.
The research study gives a clear picture of the role of women in the country and their position in the institutions on national and local level with regards to preventing and countering violent extremism. At the same time, it provides an insight into the perception of various actors, experts in different areas, organisations and institutions, on the role of women.
