Throughout history, different parties have sought friendship and partnership among them through similar or shared interests. There are hardly any conflicts in which there was not some kind of alliance or coalition. The same interests create common goals and alliances or coalitions when united in a common strategy. In order to develop a sustainable coalition strategy, it is of particular importance to direct the policies of the partners toward a clearly defined common end goal. States that identify themselves as “Western” must necessarily act at the global level to protect the democracy of their developed societies as a priority interest. That is why democracies are united by a common interest in gaining and preserving economic opportunities worldwide, especially in regions under the influence of their traditional adversaries.
