WESTERN BALKANS RESILIENCE FORUM
Collaborative Approaches to Confronting Extremism through Action.
The President of NEXUS Civil Concept Afrodita Musliu talked about the endless transition and polarization of the Macedonian society as a real threat for further reciprocal radicalization and cumulative extremism on Western Balkans Resilience Forum in Budva WBRF2018.
The WBRF gathered local, national and regional stakeholders from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia, including regional ministers of interior and security,
national CVE coordinators, local government officials, representatives of civil society and academia,
mayors, local practitioners and journalists, to discuss national and local approaches to countering
religious and ethno-national extremism in the Western Balkans.
At the Forum, participants reflected the existing CVE programs and explored vertical and horizontal
cooperation in the region and nationally.
The WBRF was organized by the International Republican Institute (IRI) in cooperation with the Strong Cities
Network/Institute for Strategic Dialogue and with the support of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau
of Conflict and Stabilization Operations.
